Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

This policy explains how cancellations, renewals and refunds work for paid AcreTerminal subscriptions, billed through our payment processor Razorpay. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

AcreTerminal subscriptions (Starter, Growth and Portfolio) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis in Indian Rupees. Enterprise plans are billed per the terms of the applicable signed order form, which takes precedence over this policy where the two conflict.

2. Cancelling your subscription

An organisation owner or billing admin can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops future renewal charges; it does not automatically trigger a refund for the current billing period, for the reasons described in Section 3.

3. Effect of cancellation

When you cancel, your organisation keeps access to its current plan's modules and property limit for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for. At the end of that period, the subscription will not renew and access to paid modules ends; your Portfolio Registry and records remain available for export for a reasonable period afterward before being subject to our standard retention and deletion practice described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Refund eligibility

Because AcreTerminal provides immediate access to portfolio, lease, market-intelligence and transaction tooling from the start of each billing period, subscription fees already charged for the current billing period are generally non-refundable, except where:

(a) you were charged in error or charged more than once for the same billing period (see Section 5); (b) a technical fault on our side materially prevented your organisation from using the Service for a significant part of the billing period and we were unable to remedy it within a reasonable time; or (c) a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.

Transaction fees for a completed lease execution, renewal, early exit or verification service are non-refundable once the underlying service has been performed, except where waived at our discretion or required by law.

5. Billing errors and duplicate charges

If you believe you were charged incorrectly — the wrong amount, a duplicate charge, or a charge after cancellation — contact us within 30 days of the charge with your organisation name and the transaction reference from your Razorpay receipt. We will investigate and, where a billing error is confirmed, correct it and refund the erroneous amount to your original payment method.

6. Failed and disputed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to notify the organisation's billing admin and may retry the charge; continued failure to pay may result in suspension of access to paid modules until payment succeeds or the subscription is cancelled. If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback) without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend the account pending resolution of the dispute.

7. Enterprise and custom agreements

Organisations on a custom Enterprise agreement are subject to the cancellation, notice-period and refund terms set out in their signed order form or master services agreement, which govern over this policy for that organisation.

8. How to request a refund

To request a refund, reach us through our Contact page with your organisation name, the plan and billing period in question, and your Razorpay transaction reference. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Changes apply prospectively to billing periods starting after the change takes effect.
